A lot of Canary System administrators want to offer their organization reports based on asset conditions. Since Version 17, the Canary Data Historian has featured an Events service that will help you accomplish this task.
Using the Canary Admin tool, you can define events based on tag values and collect aggregated properties of the data based on the time interval of the event.
Using the Canary Excel Add-in, you can take advantage of two different functions in regards to Events. First, it will allow your users to search previously defined events and even filter them by duration, asset, and the aggregated properties.
Secondly, it will also give your users a tool that will help them create and research their own events without writing them to the event database. This adhoc event tool can be extremely useful and is a great way for your team to collaborate without causing you more work on the admin side.
