Smart Pipeline to Debut in Norway

A team of engineers in Norway have previously announced the completion of a large collaborative effort to outfit offshore oil pipeline with thousands of sensors.  This new "smart pipeline" will be able to provide real-time data to operators both on ship and back at shore.  New technology like this will greatly assist in increased efficiency, the eliminating of downtime, and adherence to stronger safety standards.
